This month's special deal
Pedal Rebuilding Service
If you're in need of a rebuilt pedal assembly and yours is still there, instead of buying another one, it can be rebuilt just as the ones that I sell. The assembly will be disassembled, any repairs made that are needed, sandblasted, primed and painted semi-gloss black. New pedal pads, new plastic pivot bushings and new rubber bumpers will be installed. On GM pedal assemblies, a new brake light switch will also be installed.
On some Ford pedal assemblies, the pivot pin will be changed. The design of the Ford pedals, with the large clutch return spring, puts pressure on the pin and pivots causing them to wear out prematurely.
I also offer roller bearing pivots for the Ford pedal assemblies. To install them, before restoration bearing retainers have to be welded onto the bracket where the original pivots were in the bracket.
If you need to contact me, please email me at steve@stevesclutchpedals.com to discuss your pedal assembly needs and to send me pictures of your pedal assembly. Thanks.
With any rebuilt pedal assembly, the pivot bushings, the pedal pads, the rubber pedal bumpers and on a GM assembly, the brake light switch will be replaced. On rebuilt Z-bars, everything is removed and cleaned. The plastic bushings are replaced if worn and the Z-bars are reassembled (after painting) with grease on the bushings along with a new retaining clip.
